Aeriv Wetsuit Rental Terms & Conditions

By reserving and accepting a wetsuit rental from Aeriv, the renter agrees to the following terms and conditions.

Rental Period

Your wetsuit is reserved specifically for the pickup and return dates shown on your reservation.

The wetsuit must be returned to Aeriv no later than the agreed-upon return date. If you need additional time, please contact Aeriv before your scheduled return date. Extensions are subject to availability and additional rental charges.

Returning a wetsuit early does not qualify the rental for a partial refund.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Because each wetsuit is reserved specifically for your rental period and removed from availability for other customers, the following cancellation policy applies:

72 hours or more before scheduled pickup:
100% refund of the rental fee.

48–72 hours before scheduled pickup:
50% refund of the rental fee.

24–48 hours before scheduled pickup:
25% refund of the rental fee.

Less than 24 hours before scheduled pickup:
No refund.

No-shows:
No refund.

Cancellation timing is calculated from the scheduled pickup date and time listed on your reservation.

Rental fees are not refundable for unused rental days, early returns, changes in race plans, weather conditions, race cancellations, failure to pick up the wetsuit, or a customer's decision not to use the wetsuit.

If Aeriv is unable to provide the reserved wetsuit due to damage, availability, or another issue on our end, you may choose an available replacement or receive a full refund.

Wetsuit Fit

It is the renter's responsibility to provide accurate sizing information and select an appropriate wetsuit size.

Aeriv may assist with sizing recommendations; however, individual fit preferences and body proportions vary, and a sizing recommendation does not guarantee a particular fit or level of comfort.

Whenever possible, we recommend trying on your wetsuit before race day.

Care of the Wetsuit

Rental wetsuits must be handled carefully.

When putting on or removing the wetsuit, avoid using fingernails or sharp objects that could puncture, cut, or tear the neoprene.

Do not expose the wetsuit to:

• Sharp objects

• Petroleum products or solvents

• Excessive heat

• Washing machines or dryers

• Bleach or harsh cleaning products

• Prolonged direct sunlight

After use, the wetsuit should be rinsed with clean, fresh water and allowed to air dry away from direct heat or sunlight.

Do not machine wash or machine dry the wetsuit.

Normal Wear vs. Damage

Normal wear associated with proper swimming use is expected and will not result in additional charges.

The renter may be financially responsible for damage beyond normal wear, including but not limited to:

• Cuts or punctures

• Significant fingernail tears

• Torn seams

• Damaged zippers

• Missing zipper components

• Damage caused by improper use

• Damage caused by animals

• Burns or heat damage

• Chemical damage

• Alterations or modifications

• Excessive damage resulting from improper storage or transportation

Aeriv will inspect the wetsuit after it is returned.

Lost, Stolen or Unreturned Wetsuits

The renter is responsible for the wetsuit for the entire rental period.

If a wetsuit is lost, stolen, not returned, or damaged beyond reasonable repair, the renter may be charged the current retail replacement value of the wetsuit, less the rental fee already paid, where permitted.

The renter is responsible for safeguarding the wetsuit regardless of whether loss or damage occurs during travel, at an event, at a hotel, in a vehicle, or while the wetsuit is otherwise outside Aeriv's possession.

Late Returns

Rental inventory is often reserved for another athlete immediately following your rental period. Timely returns are therefore important.

Wetsuits returned after the agreed return date may be subject to additional rental charges.

If a late return affects another customer's reservation, Aeriv reserves the right to assess additional reasonable charges associated with the delayed return.

A wetsuit that remains unreturned without communication may be considered lost and subject to the replacement provisions above.

Swimming & Event Conditions

The renter is responsible for determining whether conditions are appropriate for wetsuit use and whether wetsuits are permitted under the rules of their event.

Aeriv does not guarantee that a particular race or event will be wetsuit legal.

Changes to weather, water temperature, race rules, event schedules, or event cancellation do not modify the rental cancellation or refund policy.

Assumption of Risk

Swimming, open-water swimming, triathlon, and other endurance activities involve inherent risks.

A wetsuit does not eliminate the risks associated with swimming or open-water activities and should not be considered a personal flotation device or lifesaving device.

The renter is responsible for determining whether they have the appropriate skills, health, equipment, supervision, and conditions necessary to participate safely.

Cleaning

Aeriv cleans and inspects rental wetsuits between customers.

Customers should return wetsuits reasonably clean and free of excessive dirt, sand, mud, or other contaminants.

Excessive cleaning required because of misuse or improper care may result in an additional cleaning charge.

Acceptance of Rental Terms

By completing a wetsuit rental reservation, the renter acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Rental Terms & Conditions and Aeriv's cancellation and refund policies.

The renter accepts financial responsibility for the rented equipment while it is in their possession and agrees to return it by the scheduled return date in substantially the same condition in which it was received, excluding reasonable wear from normal use.
